The BackStory
I was born in Trail B.C., the lead refinery capital of British Columbia. My Dad is a Pastor. I got married at the age of 20 way back in 2001. We have one daughter. I drive a 95 Honda Civic Hatchback with a cracked windshield, a rusty wheel well, and a sweet sound system. It’s a piece of crap but hey, it’s paid off.
What is your role at TXC?
I am the Worship/Media Pastor. I give oversight to all things worship and media related.
What is one of your biggest pet peeves?
Odd numbers. I absolutely hate them. Sometimes I count how many words people speak to me and it grates on me if they speak in odds. I love and hate licence plates because the numbers and letters are in 2 sets of 3. I have 27 teeth and that kills me, 13 on the bottom and 14 on the top. When I order food from McDonalds or something I order even numbers of burgers, I rarely get a meal. When I order a drink, often times I’ll ask for a SUPER SIZED Root Beer cause it’s an even number of letters, as opposed to a LARGE Root Beer. If the T.V. volume is ever on an even number I freak out, even if it’s not my T.V.
If Hollywood made a movie of your life, who would most effectively star you?
I think it would have to be a cross between Jack Black, cause he is really weird and quirky like me, and Tom Welling, cause he is extremely hot and mysterious, just like me.
Sweets or Salties?
Both. Sometimes it’s both at the same time.
What is one dream you have for the future?
I have always dreamed of doing something for God with my musical abilities. Using my music to affect change in peoples lives and somehow draw them closer in their walk with God. Hey, wait a minute……
If there is one thing you could be remembered by at the end of your life, what would it be?
I would want to be remembered as a person who made people laugh with his sense of humour, made them cry with his generosity and kindness, and cause them to live like Jesus by the way I modeled His example. And also that I really liked food.
